Short gun story: Related to auction.

Some forty years ago my close fried Bob attended an auction and bought an old Mauser for $65.

Not much bidding interest as most assumed it was a remodeled milsurp.

When he showed it to me I recognized it to be a FN model 1952. 7x57

He replaced the K4 Weaver on it with a Redfield Widefield 3x9. Used it near forever ‘till he sold it to me.

I’ve since hunted down the Redfield aperture sight it would have had when it was new.

Just like it showed it the magazine adds back in the ‘50s.
