I see those are Westlake brand. Westlakes are some of the best tires you can buy.
I have them on 3 of my vehicles. Wife’s Expedition.
265/75R16 10 ply.
I’ve sold a ton of tires back when I was in the automotive field. I used to be of the opinion that Michelin were the best of the best, (I was sent to Michelin tire school back then. It was a real eye opener) until I came across Westlake. In my honest opinion they outclass anything on the market today. I got one set of 10 ply’s for my 1 ton Van from where my son works (Corwin Ford). The other 2 sets I ordered from Walmart on line and had them delivered to our local store. I then took them up to my son and asked him to mount and balance them for me. I get the “Dads” discount there. (Free). The tires on the van and Expedition are some big tires. Lots of rubber swinging around and can be difficult to get balanced. These Westlakes have taken the least amount of weight to balance them that I’ve ever seen. None of my tires have taken more than 1.5 ounces on either side of the tire to balance out. I’ve had a few that didn’t require weight on one side and the other side took 3/4 ounce at most. Smoothest riding tires I’ve ever had. They don’t make every tire size out there but what they do make I’d put my life on them. If you want to know about tires, just ask.
Speech done now, I’ll get of the soap box.
Never heard of them. Where are they made?

Just went out and looked, they don't admit to being made anywhere....so probably china.

I wish a person could buy only American, but in the current market I'm afraid you'd have to go without a lot of semi necessary stuff.

Case in point:

When we moved down here I wanted to build our house with only US made stuff, I spent literally hundreds of hours looking for country of origin on everything right down the wire nuts & spackle.
In the end it's 90% US made, but some of the only US made options we could find were the absolute lowest quality of stuff made anywhere.....not that I'm any kind of a quality-snob, but some US made stuff is absolutely junk....more so than even the china option.

And then you throw in the factor that just because a company is a US company, doesn't mean it's at all aligned with traditional American values......

I remember when I was working for Autozone we sold two different brands of 4way lug wrenches. One was American made and the other made in China. I had about 4 each in stock. Upon inspection of both wrenches I found the hexagonal ends were so badly made on one that it couldn’t be used. I’m sorry to say it was American made.
The following companies here are Chinese owned.
Smithfield Foods.
General Electric appliance division.
And others. With that said, it doesn’t mean that stuff is made overseas. Stuff is still made here but the money trail goes overseas.
My dad was in the Philippines in WW2. My uncle, my mom’s brother, was killed on Luzon. My dad , for the longest time, griped about Japanese made stuff. Mainly cars. My sister bought a Toyota Corolla once. Her husband was in the Army at the time and they got transferred to Germany and had to sell the car. My parents bought it to help them out. My dad referred to it as “the coffee grinder”.
After owning it for a year he said that as much as he disliked anything Japanese made they did build a hell of a good car. As much as I prefer American made sometimes it just can’t be had. And sometimes I just do without things. Or make what I need myself.

I apologize for the long winded post. You might think I am passionate about tires when all I really needed to say is they’re good tires and left it at that. Lol

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving day and eats a lot.

Morning everybody.
Laurel n Hardy " don't give him any ideas he doesn't know how to use them!" IMHO info from experienced provider always helps. Some more than others...but thanks

Oh boy!
Do they have online bidding?.... cause now I know what to bid on.....lol

Those Howa rifles are stupid accurate.... I had one of their mini actions in 7.62x39 and it would shoot 1" at 150 yards with cheap steel cased Russian surplus ammo without even trying.

Thats what my son said about the Howa’s , he woukd like one of the belgium brownings. He said them & the Howas would go pretty high.

Here is the link to the auction site, I don’t see anything about online bidding but i may have missed it.

I have been thinking about a 257 roberts for awhile, my son has about talked me
into one.

My late neighbor had one with a flip over scope on it, it was damn nice gun & even with that flip scope it was dead nuggets.
