been wanting to get my awol 562 back together here lately. it has a severely scored cylinder from transfer cover leak. definitive dave sent it to millennium to replate and they wont do blind cylinders anymore. thinkn about doing a 2 piece head so that it can be repaired. i asked in another thread if anyone had done that on one. whats the general consensus? i have another new cylinder but figured it might be easier to repair this cylinder than duplicate the port work of the original.
There’s nothing wrong with a bolt on head.

I’d thing duplicating the port #’s would be easier and possibly cheaper in the long run though.

What’s it cost now to re-plate?

I've got them on the rear of the Yukon and they have been holding up very well considering the abuse the get on the horrible back roads down here.

Right about $700 installed.

I see those are Westlake brand. Westlakes are some of the best tires you can buy.
I have them on 3 of my vehicles. Wife’s Expedition.
265/75R16 10 ply.
I’ve sold a ton of tires back when I was in the automotive field. I used to be of the opinion that Michelin were the best of the best, (I was sent to Michelin tire school back then. It was a real eye opener) until I came across Westlake. In my honest opinion they outclass anything on the market today. I got one set of 10 ply’s for my 1 ton Van from where my son works (Corwin Ford). The other 2 sets I ordered from Walmart on line and had them delivered to our local store. I then took them up to my son and asked him to mount and balance them for me. I get the “Dads” discount there. (Free). The tires on the van and Expedition are some big tires. Lots of rubber swinging around and can be difficult to get balanced. These Westlakes have taken the least amount of weight to balance them that I’ve ever seen. None of my tires have taken more than 1.5 ounces on either side of the tire to balance out. I’ve had a few that didn’t require weight on one side and the other side took 3/4 ounce at most. Smoothest riding tires I’ve ever had. They don’t make every tire size out there but what they do make I’d put my life on them. If you want to know about tires, just ask.
Speech done now, I’ll get of the soap box.

Good information Steve.
Now I can be proud of em....👍
I've been pleased with the set I have on the other rig, and they are on the lower end of things price wise, so it's a win win as far as I'm concerned.

I apologize for the long winded post. You might think I am passionate about tires when all I really needed to say is they’re good tires and left it at that. Lol

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving day and eats a lot.

Morning everybody.
