Any update on when you will be able to move back into your almost new house?

The kitchen countertops are scheduled to be installed next week. The plumber is scheduled to install the 2 sinks, shower fixtures, toilet and dishwasher after Thanksgiving. I’m hoping to be able to start moving in about the middle of December. We’ll see.

Well I'm a first rate bonehead....

My "sassafras" appears to be cottonwood....

Look for the leaves and break off a stick to chew on. Don't find too many big sassafras trees around. Especially straight ones.

Yeah, I feel pretty dumb....

There were a bunch of trees in this area with red leaves, and the bark looked right according to my tree book....and wishful thinking....lol.
I went back after @Hedgerow suggested poplar and looked for sassafras leaves, but all I could find looked like cottonwood.

Goo(D) morning fellas and gal(s). We had one Indian summer, and are now in a more seasonally temp adjusted pattern. Mid 20's overnite to 45 or a bit more for the next couple of days.
Good outside project weather. IMO

I've done that making my own loops off a reel. Once it's more than a 36" bar with square chisel skip, and the short bit from the last reel it's what it is. Never had a log complain

In all the years of grinding chain, I’ve never seen a right hand cutter sharpened as a left hand cutter from the factory.

Cut and hauled two loads today.
One load of decent sawlogs, & one load of nice dry white oak firewood logs.

A good size dead white oak that had grown around an old small stump.
Of course it doesn't show up very well in the pictures...

Fellow carried off the Homie 340 to use until he can return the Stihl to the fellow he borrowed it from.

What Stihl mix oil is yellow?

It’s not good at 50:1 .
