Levi and Ethan resurrected this dinasour from a barnyard.
They learned a valuable lesson..
just sitting still for years can be worse than it being used.
I’ll bet they replaced 10 bearings and countless sprockets and a few belts before they could put any time on it. Not to mention welding and patching augers.
But they managed to put 50 acres through it after that. Motor runs good..

I’ve never seen a straight sassafras tree..

Let alone a 40 footer..

Ida thought it was a poplar.
It was growing down in a creek bottom with a bunch more sassafras but they were all kinky, this one was the only one worth cutting for sawlogs.

Definitely not polar, (wrong leaves).

I'm no expert on Ozarks trees... everything I've read/seen says sassafras.....but idk.

Those were good machines. Agreed that sitting unused is rough on everything

Got to brag on my dad.

He bought a pair of jumper cables sometime when I was in HS. Welder lead size and the insulation still flexible.

Needed ‘em today as the little Chevy truck had a stuck stop light switch.

Thanks dad!

So I have always thought my dad was argumentative & had an overwhelming need to be right but...

Last night I left a tractor & auger at my
folks place & went in to see mother, at the same time my middle brother showed up.

After a few minutes he started arguing with my mother, she refused to back down & he kept on pushing. After about 10 minutes mother said she would bet him a set amount of money, he agreed & they subsequently left with mother driving.
So I had to stick around to see how it played out, after about 30 minutes they returned & mom came in fanning some cash, saying looky what got. Basically they bet on what could be seen from the road at his house.

I learned along time ago to not argue with her much less bet with her.

So basically she fleeced his dumb azz for $500, LMAO.
