I dumped .45” out this morning, guessers are calling for more this afternoon & tonight but it’s looking like it’s going to miss us. 80* with 80% humidity.

My wife decided that the lawn needed mowing so I am just sitting back having a cigar enjoying the only time I won’t have to mow the lawn this year.

I'm extremely grateful. It's not usually like this. It's usually hotter than a 2 dollar pistol by now and already well on it's way to being dry and miserable.

The 89 F150 now has new A/C. Took all day to do a 4 hr job. Work for an hour go inside to dry off for an hour and so on.
Now I can drive around with the windows up.

Got the 4 corners set and all the holes dug before lunch.
Came back and set all but 5 of the posts cuz we ran out of 2x4’s for braces.

Finish tomorrow., rock dril worked good.

It was about 8” DBH 37 years ago when we built our house. Curb/street tree.

Got a little over an inch here. Airport must have had 1.75" as that is what they say the official total is. Other towns are saying close to 4". Long slow rain here that should soak in nicely.
