Talked to a Stihl tech. He said the valves are bad to stick on the Stihl backpack blowers. My Dad took it to him to check out...fingers crossed.

The Stihl weedwacker four mix engines have an automatic comp release built into the cam. Known to stick resulting in a no start.

I removed it on the FS90R I have.

We had .05” yesterday morning & .62” this morning, we have dry soil showing now & dust was flying at noon on the gravel roads.

A few miles south had more rain & wind. Carl Miller said they had 58 power line poles down so far. He didn’t know if he had any damage at his place because he hadn’t been home yet.

I’ll fess up:
The nose sprocket replace dodge failed.

Not for want of trying.

Husky sprocket is larger OD (one extra tooth) and the hole pattern for the rivets is off from the Stihl.

Anyone got a junk .325” pitch Stihl bar?

I should look thru the Stihl IPL’s.

I have one; if it will work, it’s the shortest bar
