We got .30” tonight, we needed much more but it’s better than a kick in the seat of the pants. There are still beans laying in dry soil around here.

The bottom east of the house has beans 4”-5” tall & beans just trying to pop thru.

My brother has bean laying in dry soil.

The rains are really spotty this year

Happy Father's Day to all of the Fathers.

Speaking of, I get a phone call at 2:48am this morning. My daughter lives in Tulsa, they had 100 mph winds last night, 1000s without power, including her. She has a baby and breast feeds. She has a freezer full of breast milk she has been saving. You know the rest of the story, Dad took a generator to her in the middle of the night.

On a side note, Tulsa is a mess, trees down, power lines down, streets blocked, street lights not working, stop lights not working, stores closed...It was creepy at 4:00 in the morning

Looked at the rain gage where I'm at, and the wafer finally moved, with on and off moisture events still expected till late afternoon.

1.5” thick ribeyes for the men..

6 Oz fillets for the wimminz...

Father’s Day steaks.
I smoked/grilled some fillets, porterhouse, t-bones, ribeyes and a sirloin on Friday. I have never cooked a better piece of meat than those fillets. We really enjoyed it all.

Last Sunday I put a full brisket on. 10 hours. It was really good as well.
