Morning everybody.

Well, we finally got some rain the past couple days. Just too bad there was tons of wind and power outages to go with it. Couple tornados popped up yesterday and there was some rotation today, but no damage that I've heard. Yesterday was mostly to the west of us and we only got about .13". Today it got pretty wild there for awhile, but we got .88". That's the most we've got at one time, in a long while.

With how fast today's storm came in and how crazy it got for a bit, I can't help but think, how tough and resilient settlers had to be back in the 1800's coming out west. Today would've been quite a deal in a covered wagon.

Here is the link to a story from the local radio station this morning. It’s about panel farm size, it’s been on going in a few western Iowa counties for a couple years. Basically the power companies are trying to set a limit on how big an individual/private citizen can build.
