Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated.

Been in a funk all winter.[emoji3525]

Gets warm enuf in the garage day to day will help with the motivation.

On a happy note: Son Michael is driving truck OTR for a carrier based in Cassville, Mo. ST Transport?

Out of my hair and gainfully employed. [emoji106]

Picked up a new International with only 2000 mile on it. Has the truck version of that ‘new car smell’. He was in Fort Wayne, Indiana this morning.

Had a nice visit with @JimBear this afternoon. He delivered a Simington 451C to me. I am learning how to operate this machine. I can see I have a little bit of a beak. I am hoping to do some testing in some wood this evening.

Thank you JimBear!

It was great to meet you Jason & have a good visit. You & your family have a great view from their place.

I hope you get lots of use out of that grinder. I just rolled back in a little bit ago, I made a stop by Osceola to the Cheese Store.

I am sure that some of these gents can get you squared away on that grinder.

The chain sure cut nice!
It takes a little while to get around a full comp for a 32" bar.
Key is to take as little as possible.
Just clean up to the working corner. Don’t be afraid to use the eyes and sparks to find the corner. The stops are nice, but can let you down cutter to cutter..
a little beak cuts great... for a while...
A perfect corner cuts great... for a little longer.

I am not using the swing stops. I am attempting to use my eye to go till I reach the corner and see the wheel reach the edge of the sideplate, then I stop. This way the corner and the top part of the side plate are sharp. I am not hitting the far edge of the top plate yet.

It has a SCARR chain guide from @srcarr52 on it. It is very precise. If there are any burrs on the drivers they won't go through.

It will loosen up a little with more use. Just don't throw your chain!

I wasn't complaining. I like precision.
It revealed how rough some of my chains are.

Very true, seems 63 gauge chain really varies. Not only from one manufacturer to another but within the same new chain I've seen 0.004" different in thickness of the drivers.

I bet!
How are you doing, Tony?
Okay so far , prolly gonna survive prostate surgery when it gets scheduled. Seems there is more stuff I'm to do in service to other of GOD'S kids.
Had a 2pm at J.B. 3:30 near Chocran on Grand near down town. So they tried to throw in a blood draw and CT scan in between at Cochran the day before after intrusive roto rooter style looksee.
Eye guy calls at 8 am, " can you come in at noon instead of 2?" Seen this stuff too much to call it coincidence. Power greater than me had a gentle influence IMHO
