9” of snow here (NW Arkansas). No power. Running the fridge and freezer on generator; making coffee on top of the wood stove.
Long time no see!
Great to hear from you, and I hope they can get your power back on quickly.
Ours has flashed about a dozen times since breakfast time, but has been coming right back on.

Latest update from Entergy said “No estimate for power can be given at this time.” Not a big deal, we’ve been without power for three weeks a few years ago. Unfortunately, my generator was desperately in need of a carburetor rebuild when I put it away. I had to rob the carburetor from my wood splitter to get it going and it only runs on partial choke, so I’m pretty sure I’ve got an air leak on one of the carburetor gaskets.

I’ve been lurking a bit lately, just hadn’t posted ‘cause I’ve had too many things going on. Its good to be back.

River Valley here (30mi East of Ft Smith).
Got about 3" yesterday.
Electric held all night until it was time to get ready for work today & I heard the dreaded loud hum/buzz of a transformer melting down.
Arkansas Valley does a excellent job here & was back on in a hour.
Hope you get it back soon!

Hey Marc, good to see you. If you need a generator I’ve got one you can borrow.

Thanks, but I’ve got mine running pretty good again. Cleaned up the old carb and made some new gaskets by flashlight in the basement workshop. It’s been running about an hour on the rebuild and keeping our freezer going so I’m happy. The wife made coffee on the wood stove, as well as lunch and supper. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

If the bar is .050 lopro it might pull okay. I wood like to have a 50cc saw to mill red cedar with that. My 046 pulls a 30" loop way to easy with that size cutters. 20 to 24" wood be better on a smaller PH. I don't run into large diameter cedar.

Did use a 5 foot bar on a maple that had a crotch that was that distance. Ported 661 broke in on one of the early cuts up that log. 3/8 .063 square chisel there, Beautemous it was to hear the exhaust song change with chips flying further out the far side

What bar are you using on the 046? I've been looking for a 3003 bar that I can run Picco on.

It's a bar picked from a short lived west coast company. Going out of business type sale, the 2in my stock made in Australia and I really dug around looking for a 48" that was sold out. Was not able to get communications cross the equator to find a supplier in the states. Don't recall the name. When it shows up I hope to recall I should get a pic to post.
Part of reason VA ratesme at 100% is memory/organization not good
