I hate to say this but my house caught fire.
Is everyone OK?
Good afternoon y'all
I hate to say this but my house caught fire.
What types wood did you wrangle up ?
Those grapples make staging significantly easier.
I still plan on getting a super split to just have around the house..
For “normal firewood”, they are just productive little *s-words.
Is there anything I can do to help?Fortunately the saws are not in the house.
Man, I'm sorry. It’s just my wife and I. We were at work. 4 dogs and 2 cats only lost 1 dog from smoke inhalation. The house is trashed.

They work good on hedge..I've been watching the videos of those. I've wondered how they would work on hedge or other really hard woods.
If you can list the positives in this case, like companion animals which survived, replacement of house structures that were damaged and cleanup isn't on you. May be nicer for you after r&r is complete. They let us in a little while ago to gather up a few things. Mostly just a few clothes. My Coleman collection is pretty much wasted. Fortunately they can be rebuilt. Vehicles are all fine. The smell is bad, everything is a mess. The wood stove survived just fine.
Everything that was in the den is gone.
On a positive note I was thinking about new windows. The fire dept took care of those. Was going to need a new roof. Taken care of now. Insurance company is sending a crew over to board up the house and secure it. We have a place to stay (with my son)
