They work good on hedge..
Just gotta read the wood a little.
They're best for normal sized stuff. the wedge is only 7" or so.

They let us in a little while ago to gather up a few things. Mostly just a few clothes. My Coleman collection is pretty much wasted. Fortunately they can be rebuilt. Vehicles are all fine. The smell is bad, everything is a mess. The wood stove survived just fine.
Everything that was in the den is gone.
On a positive note I was thinking about new windows. The fire dept took care of those. Was going to need a new roof. Taken care of now. Insurance company is sending a crew over to board up the house and secure it. We have a place to stay (with my son)

If you can list the positives in this case, like companion animals which survived, replacement of house structures that were damaged and cleanup isn't on you. May be nicer for you after r&r is complete.

Another positive note.
We took the animals to our vet to get checked out for smoke inhalation. Got up to the front desk to pay the bill. The receptionist dissappeared for a few minutes then returned. Said the Dr said “No charge”.
