Might you, with knowledge & experience you have, be able to make a design and drawing(s) which is as good or better? Have it fabbed near you
at lil or no shipping charge at a similar or lower price, perhaps
I have considered it.
I could probably get one quicker that way, but it would probably cost even more than the ones I can buy. There is a lot of money in materials for a good splitter. And a lot of mistakes to be made in working out the details.

I have looked at them, but I can't find anybody who builds their frame anywhere close to what Eastonmade does. The hydraulics are not as well balanced either.
I guess I am a bit picky, but having worked in fabrication as well as some pretty sophisticated hydraulics, I pick up on certain things that are done well.
Eastonmade has made some refinements that only come from experience. I don't see those same refinements in the others.
I ain’t afraid to spend serious coin on stuff, but as much as I like their Axis splitter, I would never spend $13,000 on it..
they may have reached the point where the task at hand just can’t justify the cost.. The last Timberwolf I looked into was crazy high too..

Splitting wood is a rather simple task, and aside from a processor, a slow one too.. production wise, I’ve found it was always more about the wood you’re splitting more than the splitter you were doing it with.

I love Easton made’s wood elevator attachment though..
always thought that was a nice little add on.

Have you checked these out?
https://empireattachments.com/splitforce/

There's a pro firewood guy in Nova Scotia that recently sold his Easton made and replaced it with one of these (SF-9TR)...... pretty impressive machine....
No clue what the price is, but if someone is going to spend over 10k on a splitter maybe price don't matter.....

If I was going to spend big bux on a splitter this one would be at the top of my list.

I like those, but no log lift is a no go for me...I also worry about a split shooting off that table into my chest. Somebody made one several years back and brought it to Matt's GTG; they are slick

They have lifts on at least some of the models....the end of the table swings up and down.....
Idk about getting hit in the chest.....I s'pose it could happen though...

Been extra cold the past month. Someone carried off almost all the cookie pile I had from my test logs. [emoji15] Thank you very much.

Saved me $20 and a trip to the landfill. [emoji108]

Nat. gas bill is 20% higher than last year at this time.

And Steve P. Not good kee-mo-sabb. [emoji90]
