I know it's the first saw I ever ran and the saw I cut my teeth on for a decade. I have 3 and when I got them 13, or 14 years ago, I bought runners for 100 bucks. They work and do the job, but as Mr. Workshop mentioned, they're heavy and not the most powerful. That said, I cut dozens of trees with the things and I only ran a 20 inch bar back then. Parts used to be plentiful on Ebay and still may be, I haven't looked for years now. If you need any parts for one, let me know.

I hope your wife was OK and not shaken up too much. Sorry to hear that.

Back when these were made, everything was slow compared to todays standard. But they will pull up to a 24 inch bar with 3/8 full chisel chain no problem. They are torque monsters and a very reliable and easy to start saw.

I’ve been able to offload all the ‘McCinderblocks’ to Steve. But, they will bring three U S Grants around here, running & cutting.

My jury service ended today at noon. Judge sent me home to care for my wife. [emoji108]

I did renew a couple acquaintances at the courthouse. Sarah had been a court officer there for several years before she went on road patrol.

You're right. I had used chains at first and wasn't worth a hoot filing chains and sure didn't comprehend bar maintenance, but I still remember the first new Oregon chain and bar I got and used. I was cutting on a trunk about 2 and a half feet diameter and it had no problem at all. Obviously I had to cut from both sides, but I was sure happy with them.

I'm pretty sure Kevin ruined me with ported saws, but those old Macs will always be pretty special to me. Great saws for not much money and they were plentiful when I ran them. They paid for themselves time and time again.

Thanks guys for the prayers
They gave her lasix and breathing treatments
No other news

Sent from the Hoskey Hill country

They put a suction cup of some sort between her legs to capture urine after putting her on the lasix
Got her on high level of o2 and dad says she is breathing better
She’s still kinda out of it and very tired
