I agree. While I’m just a cheapskate at heart, I have been known to pay more for a saw (or a Coleman lantern) than what my inner self was comfortable with.
This saw will make a nice one even in stock condition. Keep in mind that you’re going to put at least crank bearings and seals plus a whole new top end. (Cylinder jug, piston, rings, circlips).
But it will be a great learning experience and teach you a great deal.
And always remember this.
It’s just a saw, not the Space Shuttle. It’s just not that complicated.
:)
And that's the main thing I'm looking at but the person who had it for sale has changed his mind

Some things I'm cheap about and some things I'm not. My house is 130 yrs old and cost me 17,500 15 yrs ago. My vehicle is a 42 yr old Chevy C10 my grandpa bought new and I paid 600 for it from my cousin.

But if something can make me money, or I'm sure it'll go up in value, I pay what I need to to get that item, if I feel it's a necessary item that is. Saws and saw related items are my kryptonite.

Older I get, the more I value learning different things. So that really is pretty valuable in my opinion.

Sometimes, if people have the time to think, they change their minds. Surely something else will pop up for ya.
Oh I'm sure it will
I have the ones I posted last night to work on
And I know it's a small feat but I just done lol my side repair but not on a chainsaw on a cheap leaf blower

Yes its a PP5920aAV and it needs one of these its a rubber grommet and fuel line in tank
While we all have our preferences for saws (I’m not a fan of late model Poulans) I’ve heard from reliable sources the 5020 is a really decent saw. Worth fixing.
But it may test your patience.

You get your parts? Got me a bit curious about the routing on that package. Just for grins if you want to pm me the tracking and info I can look it up.

We hit 11 overnight and it's currently 25, with a "real feel" of 5. We're supposed to get some snow, or so they said. It was a 95% chance of 1-3 inches and was supposed to start at 4 am. Guaranteed, if it was a 20-30% chance we'd be in a blizzard.

Have a good day fellas!

Damn that was colder than up here in Fargo.
We had a small chance of flurries and got 4 inches this morning lol.

Ok the best price I can get it for is $75 I may not want to mess with it but I'm still debating with myself

Here's a good info thread on the 350-346.

Dam that's 9.5 hrs away from me but I will do my best to be there
I'm at least that far, and it was worth the trip. That was before pain management entered my life, had to leave early to ease my back. Got to see a few of the folks that we hear here. Brought me into further experience with chain sawers in other areas.
On a completely different subject:20221114_212605.jpg Rain since it's not quite cold enough for snow.
