There are only a few models I would say benefit greatly from porting as a work saw.I'm thinking about having some of my saws ported but I have to wait on 2 things money and summer

And the model will depend on who you send it to..
This is from someone who has a *s-word ton of ported saws..
There are things an individual can do without grinding on them to make a big difference in behavior and performance.. call them “hacks” if you will..
I have a ported 562 from a guy who is personna non grata.... it’s a first gen... still use it as a primary...You are correct Sir.
I will say my AWOL ported 562 is now my go to saw for all around general work.
That being said the others I have are nothing to complain about its just the 562 from Alan is that good.
If you’re gonna port one...The ones I would have ported are the 562xp and the 372xp I have the 450 rancher and neotec 660 clone are 2 I would not but I really like my little 345xp as well
Lol thats probably true I don't want to get done to quick I enjoy it and it's good therapyWho wants a ported saw! They get too much work done!
I've got a 605 at work. I bought it from a customer cause it was too cheap to say no. Has good compression and he said it ran. Shoot me a message if you think you'd be interested.I need to find another Mac 610
Or such like. Loud, hand oiler,
Runs forever. I killed my back up saw
That runs a 20 inch bar. Btw
Got my tree mess cleaned up![]()
