Yep Steve. This year makes 39 years as a vendor at the swap meet. Kinda crimps my preparing to show up at FT Scott. :-( May end up just throwing a few saws in the back of the Avalanche to make an appearance. I don't have what I'd really like to take ready.

Malia and I took a morning stroll down to the fishing pier to mingle with the locals. Wathched a teenage boy and his pop fight a possible shark for a good bit till it sliced his line of on a barnacle covered pier post....

Morning everybody.

Looks like Courtney from Nixa fell short in the steeplechase; still an amazing accomplishment to qualify for the final. An American did get bronze. The Africans seem almost untouchable in distance/endurance running events.

I think she will be a formidable presence in the future. She's only 23. Distance runners usually don't hit their peak until late 20's, early 30's. She's only been running about 4-5 years. Started running cross country her senior year in high school. Look for her in Tokyo, 2020.

Yes I do, save the goofy, burly, curly stuff and I'll get it at some point. Thanks.

Hmmmm....
I have a chunk of walnut a fellow started for a gunstock fifty years ago.
Would it work for handles?

Didn't want to throw it away or burn it.[emoji849]

Does it have to run? I have a complete (older) Craftsman that was beginning to smoke when I parked it last year. It would also come with a parts mower. Free to good home. They are both the 11 hp / 38" cut that everybody sold 20 years ago.

She decided that it needed to run. I told her I'd fix it up, if that was the way she wanted to go. We'd been buying a lot of stuff for her since she bought her first house. She decided this time it was her responsibility. So I hit CL and started looking. I found a REALLY nice rear engine Snapper 1 town over from us. She called on it this morning. Guy said someone was coming to look a it at 1 pm today. Said he'd call back if it didn't sell. I figured it would be gone by the time we could get there at 6. He called back at 2 and said the other guy didn't show up. I had an errand to run after work and it was a close call getting there by 6. She fell in love with it and bought it. $450. About half what everybody else wanted for a rear engine Snapper around here. She's named it Mr. Gump. I don't know who was more geeked about it, her or me.

How Bigga blanks do you want...??
I'll see you in September probably..
Birch tree is having a loggers day.. Saw races will ensue, and I'll let you know the date.
Probably 1st or 2nd Saturday of September.

A Forest Gump Snapper! Yikes!

I sincerely hope the yard is level. Them are evil on a slope. One we had would do a wheelie going up hill. But, someone had replaced the eight horse engine with a twelve.

Daughter gave hers to a friend.

It was the best thing for collecting leaves.[emoji108]
