I camp in the left lane on I29. I'm always doing 80mph (our limit). Semi trucks rarely can keep up.

It’s too hard on the mileage to run much over 70. I used to do it down in @Hinerman neck of the woods, up there in your area & in Nebraska when I was pushing time. It cost me anywhere from 1.5 - 2mpg.

Got my new pay loader brought home this afternoon. It’s an omc brand. Guy had injection pump rebuilt and didn’t put oil back in it. Still starts and runs but think I can salvage it with a set of bearings. We shall see. It’s a 4 cyl Perkins. If not I’ve got an extra one to swap into it. First trip I’ve unused my new semi. That 40ton winch was the berrys to drag it up on the trailer with.

I’ve been seeing a lot of left lane campers driving semis. And I think I’ve finally figured out why. Lots of them r immigrants from out of country and revert back to their native driving habits when on the road and drive in the left lane primarily. As far as that accident here. I was told it was a 13 yr old driving a van on a donut and it blew out and started all that. Where was the parents at?

My 13 & 16 year old daughters went for a”driving lesson “ with the young one at the wheel. She went 1/2 block and tried a left turn. She ended up in the neighbor’s yard while he was raking leaves on his day off as a Minnesota StateTrooper. That ended the driving lessons!

I had my first encounter with the Iowa Highway Patrol when I was 15 after taking a cousin home from deer hunting. Dad was less than impressed when the trooper rolled in the driveway hauling me.
He was even more whizzed off when the trooper said he was going to recommend that state revoke his license for allowing me to drive.

You’d best find some rural gravel roads to set them loose on or find a big field to let them drive around in. I started my kids at about 10. I made my youngest drive home from one of her soccer games when she was 10, it was about 20 miles on the gravel.

Since everybody's going electric I figured I'd do my part. [emoji16]
Homelite ECS.
230 volt 3 phase 180 cycle
It's the first model chainsaw that Homelite manufactured.
Now I finally have something to plug into my generator.

Looks like a LW bar design also, 230 volt 3 phase shouldn’t be lacking in torque or efficiency.

When the wife unknowingly drops a soda into the new freezer and your watching tv all of a sudden think we’re getting shot at. It was bad enough I grabbed gun for a perimeter check b4 we figured out where it came from. Lotta energy in that can lol.

You must live in a rough neighborhood if your first thought is gun fire…

Quite the opposite. Middle of know where. So there shouldn’t be anybody here or even near. If there is gunfire it’s usually me or the neighbor. Depending on the time and round count shot we will check on each other to make sure they don’t need backup

Sounds like a good neighbor policy to have.

They also should know better when they see an assortment of equipment capable of quickly digging a hole in the sand. [emoji6]
