What is the scope of work for this project?

I am removing the engine from my wrecked van.
It will get new oil cooler seals and the intake reworked while it is out.
I also plan to delete the emission junk on it while I am at it.
This engine and trans will then go into my 07 Sprinter for work.

I was blessed to get ahold of a really nice 08 Sprinter that I am using for work till this other one is finished. I plan to re-sell this one. I am second owner. It only has 104k miles and is in near pristine condition. He gave me all the original paperwork, and all the service records from new.

Money. I don't need them all, and saw it as a great investment opportunity.
I paid $11K. I will have invested about another $2500 in it by the time I am finished, and can probably get >$30K out of it. It will serve me for a few months while I get my other rig made the way I want it,and then get some great payback.

They are turbocharged.
I run the 07-09 models to stay away from DEF, and then tune them to bypass the EGR and Swirl Valve issues.
They seem to do great with a few mods.

I do not do my own tuning. Don't have the time to ever be good at it...
I have Green Diesel Performance tunes on two of them, but then Biden shut them down Their tune has been great.
I have a TuneZilla (Malone) stage 1 tune for use after the swap. I bought it early while I could still get it...

The Van now runs!!! Amazingly.
All I have to do now is assemble the front end.

One thing to always remember. Never toss anything in the trash until the job is finished.
The original one, above, was mixed up with trash and got tossed out. My stupidity cost me $120 to find a replacement.
Look very closely at the picture because if you've never seen Hen's teeth, you're looking at it now.
