Working one rebuilding a 390 for a guy. Felt like bearing problems. Was the big end of the rod. And allowed the pin to walk and get into the case. Is this a real common problem? Getting new crank and bearing and seals. Should be back together today.

If something is gonna go on the 390’s it would be the lower rod bearing..
Have him up the oil in his mix. They work hard and need a
Little extra sauce to lengthen life.

Make sure he doesn't have an unlimited coil either they ain't fans of spinning more than 13.5 14,000 rpm.

A good, rich tune of 13.5 k is best, but if not around to babysit, maybe the limited coil is in order.

They are a fine saw with great power for a stocker.

I did a mechanical inspection at Sarcoxie the other day so I dropped by Black Rain Ordnance by Neosho to check it out. They have a very nice store front at their manufacturing facility. It's a candy store for AR fans.

I run 28's on mine and don't seem to have a lack of oil! But don't compare em to a 372!

Well got her back together. Runs good so far! Gonna put it in wood tomorrow. Did a little work inside gasket delete and advanced the timing. Seems real peppy.
