Come to my house and you can shoot them off the front porch. Most I ever counted was 13; see them almost every night. I'm sure they will disappear once you start shooting though; and the police will show up in short order:

How did the tree work go yesterday?
A lot of tree tops down there. Easy access when it's dry but the top inch was slick as snot. My truck wouldn't do it so we cut for 2-3 hours then came home and got Goldies truck.
4 wheel low back right up to it.
1 load yesterday and 1 just now and I'm worn out. I'll spend the rest of the day splitting and stacking.

Sounds like you need a winch and an LSD for your 2wd rigs.

Worked on the Husky 445 all day and no closer to solving it’s problem.

Acts like it’s starving for fuel on a long cut. Dies but restarts easily.

[emoji90]

Where is the tank vent on this POS?
I rework them to a stihl style ,

Works much better

Ummm,
I need to put my 2wd rigs on LSD?
Won't that make them hard to drive?
Not really unless you drive it like a hooligan. Now, a full locker can make for interesting turning and some other things, but a good LSD acts as one wheel drive until slippage occurs, then you have actual 2wd. It unlocks again once both wheels are tuning at the same speed for a specified amount of time, that varies by manufacturer.

On another note, Dad and I busted up a bit over a cord Saturday and got it stacked, and I got the area cleaned up with the tractor and scraper after that. It's nice to get crap done, and get the mess cleaned up, before making further messes! I should be heading East soon to clean up some Hedge and other trees as part of a fence repair effort in a buddy's pasture in between Leon and Beaumont KS. About 350 yards of 5 wire to remove and replace, and several trees that have to come out for that. I'm figuring that I'll have somewhere between 2-6 dump loads based on what he's told me. I may borrow a friend's GN trailer to make a bigger haul. We'll see.

I think Steve was referring to LSD like the hallucinogenic stuff that twisted the minds of the 1960’s generation.

Nailed it!!
:aaaaa::aaaaa::aaaaa:

While, technically, I'm not really a part of the "Hippy" generation (I was in the 6th grade in 1968) I was somewhat influenced by it.
Not by drugs, though.
I understand locker rearends. I've just never heard them named after a hallucenagenic drug before. Perhaps I need to update to modern terminology. But then, I come from the time of knobs and levers.

I miss knobs and levers.

Pic?

Line with gudgeon screw? [emoji848]

We have drill bits. [emoji106]

Been thinking that over.
Don't have one around, on the 365 i drilled it out , installed vent line, rand vent up by air filter, sthil vents are cheap and work , Husqvarna vents are hard to get to and fail much more

The fellows at Jack Horners cautioned me to avoid 271. Because they are a PITA.

Stihl models ending with a 1 in general.

I did refurb a 270 once. It was different. [emoji19]

Had to drop the tank away from the handle and dismantle 2 mounting springs to get under the platform to see how the fuel line even routed to the tank..
I pity the bastard that has to replace the line inside the tank.. “yes, there’s 2 fuel lines” yuk..

My 94 chevy 1 ton has a [EDIT] 14 bolt rear in it (with limited slip).
A few years ago it was giving some issue with catching while turning on pavemen.
I was grossing around 18k and took a turn onto an on ramp, and it popped and locked up. I was able to go in reverse and it broke free.
It made some ugly noises but I managed to get it home without a tow.
The carrier was broke entirely in half.
My brother came and set up a new carrier, ring, and pinion in my driveway and it has never given any trouble since. No noise either.
