It has been raining on and off all day today.

We gave the little Temco auto sharpener a workout today.
I had to shorten my 32" chains from 105 drivers down to 104 drivers so that the sharpener could work on them (it can't handle any skips).
I bought an Archer breaker and spinner from ebay a while back. It made the job pretty simple.

We usually cut wood for my folks on Thanksgiving morning before we eat, so I'm trying to get a few saws ready to go.

I started down the 20v dewalt stuff years ago..
Just been adding to the herd since.

There may be better stuff available now, but I ain’t gonna find out, cuz there’s too many items to replace at this time.. the angle grinder is an awesome tool..

I was ready to buy Dewalt but when I walked into HomoDepot the discontinued Makita stuff was to cheap to pass up.

Side note the dude that made Dewalt big in the 90s now works for TTI- Milwaukee.

Tomorrow afternoon I'll be sighting in my Deer rifle at a 100 yard range. I'm no expert when it comes to ballistics but I can sight in a scope. I'll be using Winchester 140 grain in 7mm08. Looking at the chart on the box it says at 100 yards a +1.9 rise. At 200 yards it's drops to zero.
Since its a 100 yard range should I set the sights for a 1.9 inch rise so at 200 it hits on the cross hairs? Or simply just set it to zero at 100 yards.
The rifle is a Savage Axis XP with a 3-9x42 mm scope.

Set it to 1.9 high at 100. Unless your never gonna shoot past that. But that’s generally how we sight ours in 1.5-1.9” high @ 100 dead on point of aim at 200!

I had a great couple days with my grandson. My son & grandson showed up yesterday morning while we trying to finish up running corn, mom brought him up his own field packed lunch, he was thrilled, he rode in the combine with my brother & rode home with me in the truck. Today we went out & cut down a Christmas cedar tree for decoration on the front porch. The last pic is of him fine tuning his tales of fish he has caught.

He helped me haul some wood to the house this morning before we went & got the Christmas tree. Later he helped load up a half cord that I sold after that we even had time to play with some blocks & discuss fort building techniques. I will have to do some digging, I have some Lincoln Logs somewhere. Why the they quit making TinkerToys?
