Family pic with a glacier in the background. This is the only glacier you can see from the road. You have to hike or fly to see the others. In 1850 there were 150 glaciers, now there are only 25, and they are shrinking fast:

This is a pic I took of a mountain lake (smooth as glass). I tried to capture the mirror affect. It looks much better in person.

We went to the Canada side also. This is a lake in Canada:

The sun was shining all day in Canada. Clouds moved in on our way back. It hailed like an SOB. Fortunately we did not drive in the midst of the hardest down pour. One minute the road was clear, the next minute there was an inch or 2 of hail covering the road. The hail beat the pine trees and released their scent. It smelled like somebody spilled a gallon of pinesol in the car when I opened the windows. It was glorious. I took a picture because I knew it would be hard to believe:

On our way back from Canada, a heard of Big Horn Sheep were crossing the road. I think there were 9. They were loosing their winter coat:

A few minutes later, we saw a mountain goat. These creatures can climb what looks like a flat faced rock,,,,,,amazing.

Looks like it was nice and cool there.

It was cooler in the mountains for sure. Mid 80s back at the KOA, but dry with a breeze most of the time. Got down to the mid 50s at night.

My wife lived in Kalispell for 10 years before I met her. She has taken me on many majestic tours around there. Awesome place.
