Storm just blew through. 4 inch diameter, 30+ foot long limb landed across the bed of mama's truck. Fortunately it didn't do anything.
Little Dolmar sure did wake up the neighborhood though.
Looked like a bunch of prairie dogs poking there heads out.

At least that’s all that it did and didn’t hurt it worse!

There I fixed it for ya.

It’s handy to distract the wife and kids while one does some serious trout fishing. [emoji108]

Morning midlanders!

USPS rode the 200t starter around River City all day but didn’t deliver it. [emoji90]

No matter, we don’t have the fuel /vent line from Jack Horner yet.

It would look nicer if we were a skilled fabricator.

Evening all! Hunted out a few different fields by Zenda KS yesterday with my Daughter, and Dad. We didn't see a single bird, but I didn't care. Dad got to do something yesterday that His Dad couldn't, in hunting with his grand child. Grandpa died when Dad was just shy of 19 of a heart attack, and I didn't happen until He was 25. It was truly neat having a 3 generation hunt!! We probably walked 5 miles through the Sand hills NW of Harper KS, and SW of Kingman. Also got to play with an old Farmall M, that was Shalie's Grandad's. The kids will learn to drive it before long, as it was their Great Grandfather's. And, as others mentioned, it was windy as all hell!!

Y'all welcome. Anybody know of a tdi jetta, Passat manual, resonable. Other option is a 1.9 liter motor from a bad body to swap into 1970 vw bus ;) 3-4 x hp in the back of that rascal:aplastao:
If you don't ind anything, I have an '03 Bug I may be sending down the road soon. ALH/5spd with 215xxx. Had the 200K service done with a new headgasket at 193K, and the manifold de-carboned, along with a 25hp Malone tune.

Good afternoon y'all. I've been going through a box of NOS a fella gave me several years ago. I'd forgotten how much was in it. If I was into demo saws, it would be a goldmine. It has all the engine parts for a vintage Stihl 08 chainsaw build but the parts lot was obviously for the Stihl 350 demo saw. Cool stuff!View attachment 266661
I'll have to look and see whether I have an 008, or 015...

I get to run to a neighbors tomorrow, to trim a bunch of trees back for easier mowing, and hopefully clean up a large Hackberry Thursday.

Evening everybody.
I had an extraordinary afternoon today. I spent it with my nephew deer hunting. To be clear, I didn't do anything myself. No gun with me, no hunting license, no deer tag. I was a casual observer. We got to his blind about 1:30.
Then the waiting began. But we also got to do a lot of talking and I enjoyed that.
About 4:30 the deer started coming out. Counted 9 total in the field, half of them younger ones.
At least they were smaller so I presumed younger. Had to be careful of shooting lanes because of nearby roads/hiway.
The planet's finally came into alignment and in a 5 minute time span 2 big does and a 9 point buck were on the ground. Talk about an exhilarating experience. When time permits, I have to get one of my own now.
:)
