Got the gear drive running and gave a round a good rub. The carb is dialed in better but the flywheel came loose and fubared my home made key and keyways.

Rethinking the situation weather to fix it or make a shelf display.

Same here. Boat, tractor, two trucks, two trailers and some small stuff need a place to park.

Changing out the crank will be a complete disassembly.

I used red Locktite on the rod bolts.[emoji15]

I do have a NOS flywheel but no crank. Crank has special end for gear drive I think.[emoji22]

I should have leaned heavily on the impact wrench.

Summer of '70, I helped the neighbor between semesters after I returned from 'Nam. He had a 'lister' pulled behind the tractor that my dad resurrected. It had been a horse drawn implement. About a two acre patch in an old pasture. Spuds were near size of footballs.

We would start picking them up at 5 ish in the morning and quit at 10 it was damn hot.

St. Louis county was transitioning from truck farms to housing developments.

Bill eventually sold the farm and had his two story brick house moved two hundred yards to be next door to my parents.
Bill and dad always had their heads together over some mechanical contraption or another as dad was a fair welder and fabricator.
