JimBear, how about giving us a picture of said Big Rig grain hauler?

That a way I can keep an eye out for ya.

Were are you hauling to?

The boys have been lined up deep at the intersection of 7th St & Southwest Blvd (KCK) the past couple
of weeks.

Safe travels,

Chet

I’ve been hauling to Cargill in KCMO off of front street.

Is where you are seeing trucks @ Bartlett in the Fairfax district or on down south @ GFG in Armourdale?

I will snap a pic tomorrow, I just got back && am heading to do my neighbors chores then off to Plattsmouth, NE to help a friend with some landscaping & pavers. Apparently they had a lot of rain in a short time & it washed all the sand out from under their pavers & some steps.

240,xxx miles and still placing at the truck pulls and no broken parts...

Beat that, broken chebby tie rod ends...
My grandpas k10 has 450k miles on it. Never had a single mechanical issue. Meanwhile, my uncles 2019 f150 has been in the shop twice already. Maybe the old ones were made better?

No..
Newer ones are better..

Older ones are just older.. some were gooder, but not most.

Gotta go with the odds.

Can't disagree with you here. The older ones were simpler, not better. For some people though, simpler is better, so it depends on your perspective.

The problem is, really, lack of maintenance.
Years ago, while I was in a meeting about parts sales, the speaker said this.
The majority of car owners know this much about their vehicles.
1. Gas goes in the tank.
2. Key goes in the ignition.
3. Drive it till it drops.

Most people need to learn what grease zerks are for and how often to grease them.
Tammi's Tahoe has over 250K on it with all of the original steering and suspension parts and the factory alignment knockouts still in it.
