Reconnected with my HS friend Rich in Ceder Hill, Mo.
He is still wrenching old junk.
His daily driver. His father got it 1961 from a farmer. Still has the farm graphics on the doors. ‘51 F1, 8 cyl., converted to 12 volts but otherwise stock.

Made it back from Hootin Holler. Daughter and I worked ourselves to nubs yesterday putting in the new well. But it was worth it. Now we have water available. Brought back a sample to get tested.

Made a race car out of an abandoned ‘57 Chevrolet business coupe.
Raced it hobby stock class
at Belleville, IL, Valley Park, MO and St. Charles, MO.

Missouri safety inspection law took effect and all manner of junkers were abandoned on side streets and interstate frontage roads.
It was a junk collectors paradise.
