If I remember correctly, I believe that my Dad said that they were also used to check the speed of a cream separator.Steve, Jason thank you both!
Now just to find a suitable end for the shaft and we are good to go.
I had faith that one of our resident members would come through, and low and behold 2 !!
That would make sense Steve.
As my Dad is 85 and never worked at or near any machine shop etc.
All of the antique tools came from our family farm so that sounds plausible.
So Steve what is the correct speed of a Cream Separator??![]()
I bet those were fun to catch they usually put up quite a fight. Must of thought you hooked a Blue Marlin. LolLisa and I went fishing in the old gravel pit yesterday..
Caught the biggest bluegills we’ve ever got.
A couple of em went a pound and a half..
Looks like an analog tachometer.
That is my all-time favorite fish to eat! Crappie is a close second. Bullhead catfish third and forget the rest.
Kohler made a new revised head gasket for that engine. Comes in a kit with hardware and instructions. Says install dry. You don't even want oily fingerprints. They had a bad issue with blowing out into the oil drain hole.Small engine update. Pulled the heads to check cylinders. No rust inside. But plenty of rust on the outside. Cylinder are still new. Oil plug was like new on the inside. Found another reason it was not turning over very easy. Lots of mouse stuffings. Now it spins freely. Will need new gaskets. New coils. Coils froze and split. Lots of new rubber and lots of outside cleaning.![]()
