The lay of my acreage isn't conducive to a zero turn. I was making repairs on a Ferris a while back and tried it out. My nerves couldn't take it after sliding down the hills in various directions.
My go everywhere mower that handles it all is a Deere 425 All Wheel Steer with chains on the rear all year round. It's also coming in handy doing some light grade work around the goat barn with the 4-way front blade. It gets in and out of some pretty tight spots.

That 4 wheels steering is slick.

Just remember that a planer is a "thicknesser".
It does not remove twist or crooks.
A jointer is a "flattener".
Normally you would join (flatten) one side, and then plane (thickness) to make the other side the same.

For building a deck, a planer should do just fine as long as the lumber is decent.

Just make sure that it is set up properly before you start, and don't try to take too much off at a time.
Set your depth, and then run the whole pile through, then readjust, and run the whole pile through again.
Doing one board at a time will be a killer.
Lastly, hold on tight to lessen the dreaded snipe!

Looks like a copy/knockoff of a Steiner.

Steiner makes a very tough and capable machine. Just a little
short on leg room.

When I lived in OH I saw a lot of them in use.

You don't see many West of the Mississippi.
Chet, I'd honestly believe everything made would be "a little short" on legroom in your department.

Starting to pull tools out of the goat barn. These are Renault tools. Gas and diesel. Anybody want any of these?
Piston pin press, fuel pressure gauge, some kind of force gauge, some kind of puller, a gauge that reads in mBar, some kind of engine diagnostic tester.

Don’t throw anything away. Lol. I have a nice spot on the shelf if nobody else wants anything. Hate to see good tools go the way side. Might be able to use it for something else.
