He can’t..
Too many grasshoppers for a poor ole ant to supply.

I give wood to a couple folks, but too many “folks” are perfectly happy to fill their winter heating budget with your labor. Even though they had all year to lay up even a modest amount for themselves.
We were originally intended to supply a pickup truck load of wood to get someone through a "gap" until they could arrange to get themselves resupplied.
More people kept insisting that we supply them throughout the whole season.

The folks that need it will never ask.

I'm just not sure what to think about this story.
I wonder if that ole boy realizes the headache he's making for himself.

If not, he will eventually.

After that story, he is about to get more requests for free wood than he is going to get offers to help or donate....

Sounds like a Govt. Program: Firewood Welfare

Please explain to me about these “subsidies”..

I’d like to know how to get one..
IIRC from reading, grow something this year that will be oversupplied next year to be paid for not growing in the coming year. The government finds this more cost effective than paying the difference in price to those that grow stuff.
All theoretical to me. Dad's retirement farm grew blue stem prairie grass to feed cattle, birthing late fall early winter. He said higher prices inna spring than later.

Post script: James at the dead end of the road bought his 108 acres, had it logged & got back half the purchase price. When he asked the logger to leave a stand of pine for his wood mizer, logger cut, limbed and left them near the mill. James got at least 90% of his house from milling those logs. Good neighbor less than a mile away with a s~☆●beech in between later.

Novel idea.

Maybe he should start charging for it..??

That’ll reduce the noise..

He’s just gonna have to learn the same lesson as the rest of us. Hopefully it don’t break his body, family, and bank account before he’s done.

@jk14 got my 750EVL in a raffle. Wonder if he ever had time to mess with it. I think it had a 28" bar

It's compmetely disassembled sitting in a box waiting on my slack ass to round up all the parts needed to make it a runner again. I think I'm gonna dig it back out and put it in line to be finished.
