I was down your way yesterday took momma out. Ended up at frontier xxxxxx something by cabelas. Looking for her a new pistol. She can’t shoot the one she’s got very well. Was pretty neat to go in there. Pic a caliber and get to shoot many models of that caliber.I made it to Friday. Does that count.
Same .357 Magnum round as in a revolver. But a smaller Ruger 77: http://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/ruger-m77357-review/83790Is that a 357 mag? My buddy Greg used to load his little Marlin lever out to the max in that chambering. Quite a bit of muzzle velocity, fun to shoot.
77 seems a big platform for that, maybe it’s a different round.
My tikka 270 is my favorite of all. Weighs a little over 5 lbs

I've got a tikka t3 lite in 3006 it's a tack driver. Dad has the older tikka in 280 and its excellent as well. I've always liked their actions.Same .357 Magnum round as in a revolver. But a smaller Ruger 77: http://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/ruger-m77357-review/83790
It's about the size of the adult stocked 10/22 and weighs scant more. It's handy as all hell, decently accurate and an absolute blast to shoot with .38's or .357s. It's also got a tight twist rate, so it handles 170-200 grain bullets very well. I've been looking at the Tikka T3 and the Savages in a few calibers from 6.5mm to 30-06. I may still buy one yet. I definitely don't need one, but who knows.
I will likely have a Contender Pistol some day with .44 Mag or .45 Colt barrels and probably either a 7-30 Waters, 30-30 or a .375JDJ barrel as I would like to take up pistol hunting.
Nothing yet. Lol. She has an m&p 40 now. I can’t even shoot it well. She definitely did way better with a da/sa pistol. Which is what I prefer. Lol.Frontier Justice. Real neat place. What did she end up with.

I’m a Kimber man. When it comes to semi autos. All my revolver are s&w though.

I've got a friend I shoot competition with and he got a 40 m&p core and he's had a real hard time getting it running right. His 9 works great but the 40 not so much. Maybe it's just a 40 thing? My buddy had an m&p 40. for some reason it was way louder than my SD 40.
How is the recoil on that, as compared to any other .30-06 you've shot? I've played with some '06's that were pussy cats and others that made the .300 Win Mag and .416 Rigby downright enjoyable...I've got a tikka t3 lite in 3006 it's a tack driver. 1911's are beautiful. My EDC is a P-250 Sig in .40, with a DAO trigger though. I shoot enough double action revolver now Between my Taurus 608 and my S&W 629 that I don't mind it a bit and the trigger pull, though long, is very smooth.Nothing yet. Lol. She has an m&p 40 now. I shot a .357 D.E, but it was the American made one, from when QC was poor and I wasn't impressed. I will have an original Israel made .50 soon, and it's just a big, loud, soft, push. I was giggling when I got to shoot it!! The .357 round is one of my favorites though, and I'm inclined to agree with Skeeter Skelton and Elmer Keith about that round, and the .44...I always wanted a Desert Eagle in 375.
.40 Seems to be a bit mercurial, depending on the brand and loads. I love my Sig and my buddies Springfield XD and XDM in .40. The FNS and FNX aren't bad in .40 and neither is the M&P though they're both a bit flexy like a glock. The Glock (in .40) can kiss both sides of my a$$, (though the full-size .45 and 10mm are fantastic to shootI've got a friend I shoot competition with and he got a 40 m&p core and he's had a real hard time getting it running right. So would I, but I always wanted a Garand and so did Dad. So, when I was still single and had money to spend on what I wanted, I bought a brand new Springfield. The design meant the same to me regardless of original or new, I wanted a shooter, and the new ones were the same price as retail used ones (aside from the CMP guns). The twing after the eighth round still makes me happy!!Watching Full Metal Jacket now .
I'd like an M14 myself.
Yep...
Long guns rock..
I hate Semi auto pistols...
Like really hate them.
