I got to drive from Udall to Norwich KS today to drop off a pair of pork butts for my B.I.L. to smoke for my promotion on Friday... That was the slowest and most interesting drive yet in my diesel Beetle... The 250 and 350 would have been skating like hogs on ice!

Real good oil and fuel treatments and good service like clockwork. I run schaeffers oils and stanadyne fuel treatment. It's been on these service's since 20k miles.

How often do you use the stanadyne?

Every fill up. It adds 2-3 mpg. And I change the oil every 10k along with a fuel filter every oil change and clean and reoil the k&n air filter each oil change. And gets a timing belt, water pump and all tensioner and pulleys every 100k. Pretty much the factory service intervals.
