I was a camp counselor for 8-9 yr old boys one summer at a YMCA camp. We had all kinds of activities: sailing, horseback riding, swimming, water skiing/innertubing, bow and arrow, BB guns, art, etc. My kids had as much fun going to the lake, throwing and skipping rocks, as they did anything else. It always amazed me how they got so excited about something so simple. At what point does life become so complicated?

Amazing what you find in a barn after 50 years of hording wait collecting. The garage filled two hay racks for auction.
That rusty metal was along a fence row in dirt and weeds. One plow and a disc plus a dozen old iron wheels.

Scrap iron is down I think. Don't see as many loads of old farm implements headed to Missouri Iron on the roads lately.

Last year we had scrap collectors cruising the alleys looking for stuff. And, stealing lawnmower and bicycles out of yards.[emoji34]

We had a family that drove around stealing mower gas and gas cans,
I left gas mixed with stuff other
Than gas (paint thinner mostly )
I put them off the road for a while.
I was a rat, I left the cans an vacant houses so they didn't know who got them,
I let one neighbor steal a bottle of
Zep floor cleaner in a antifreeze
Bottle, green frozen slush pushed his freeze plugs out. ....
I was a turd head
