Well Alan, I finished off that poor Oregon vangaurd chain this evening. I cut a 12" Elm out that had a cattle panel fence attached to it. There were a couple of other small trees in there as well. I didn't have any other chains that I could stand to do that to.

I bet that toasted that chain. Got any pictures?

Hey, what's a Stihl pole saw worth?
It runs decent. Good comp.

Seems like they're all over the map on prices up this way. I've seen them as low as $200, and as high as $400.

Having used Mo. Jim's Stihl polesaw, 400 is not that far out of line. Handy they are.

I'd pop for 200 for one in a New York minute.

Grrrrr.....

So Sunday I had a call from the Navy Federal Credit Union Fraud Department. Apparently someone was using my card number to buy flowers in England, and soon after someone else was using it for Uber fare in San Francisco. Thankfully, the fraud folks caught it immediately and cancelled my card. The new one will be here today. Now my durn online account access is locked out. Damn thieves piss me right the hell off! I could choke someone right now. Hassle!

My muffler mod on the 880 needs a deflector.

Starting to melt the brake handle.

Starting him is easier. Not so much assembly lube on the rings now. Even started it using the choke after lunch. One pull restarts after cutting. Four 16" soft maple cookies is all we could manage. Shortage of suitable logs around here. And, geezer energy.[emoji849]
