Morning midlanders!
I'm glad you are getting better SteveMorning everybody.
First morning in a long time I've actually felt this good. Hopefully get to go home today.![]()
Sounds like a plan. Muff mod? AM piston? Caber rings. Any simple mods to the jug?
Found out the sl5 starter is factory. Dang small tab with model: sl5G serial: A2052U betcha. [emoji106]
Looks like a SL-5 starter been put on him.
With any luck it has a Wico magneto.

That's an early one, probably has the funky auto de-comp, that's got to go. Also the very early ones had a different width rod at the top-end, cause issues with replacement pistons. Not sure if yours is that early or not. Damn good saw & well worth fixing. OEM 357 cylinder only, it's a hot rod! The AM junk will not make same power or last near as long. Meteor piston is good though. New oem P&C is around $125 last I checked.Looks like the 357xp is a 2001 product which is strange since acres says it was introduced in 2003. What gives?
23rd week of 2001. 417th unit made
