Sounds like a plan. Muff mod? AM piston? Caber rings. Any simple mods to the jug?

Get a Meteor piston, they come with cabers and it doesn't hurt resale.

When you pop the jug off look at the lower transfers after you pop the jug gasket off. You'll see where you can grind to let it flow better.

Looks like the 357xp is a 2001 product which is strange since acres says it was introduced in 2003. What gives?

Looks like another day here . Drs saw something on the echo yesterday but are not 100% about what was seen (visions of Alien) so they are going to do another to look at the back side of my heart in the morning.
I wish they had better TV here.

That's an early one, probably has the funky auto de-comp, that's got to go. Also the very early ones had a different width rod at the top-end, cause issues with replacement pistons. Not sure if yours is that early or not. Damn good saw & well worth fixing. OEM 357 cylinder only, it's a hot rod! The AM junk will not make same power or last near as long. Meteor piston is good though. New oem P&C is around $125 last I checked.
