Good morning.

Woke up twice last night to rain, and it has continued raining steady since I got up!
Was raining three hours ago and the Guessers guessed that the chance for rain in the next eight hours for each hour is at least 65%:clap2: For a whole lotta Yesterday's creek flow has been a gallon of less a minute, it's been higher than this a few timesIMG_20151228_095812.jpg which is at least six feet deeper at the spot this pic was taken, while standing in a foot of waterIMG_20151228_095812.jpg IMG_20151207_114618.jpg:bath:may step out front for a morning shower itsi pouring now

I gave up on running the saw.

Outside eating my pecan roll and dark roast. That should trigger some sprinkles.

Nice out here on Pinera Bread’s “front porch”. 71 degrees and overcast.

All the yuppies are inside in the air conditioning. [emoji849]

An update from the edge of White Creek;IMG_20180815_083405.jpg a few feet closer than when the raging creek pic was shot. Rain eased enough to take the tablet out in it to get a"now" picture. When I see this creek I always want to do something with what is there. Today I'd like to remove the brown dirt from the flow to raise my property a bit. In the high volume flow I wanted to corral enough of that energy to never need pay for electricity again! Oh well

What is this ‘flakey bark’ wood. Soft it is with no oder.

Noodles are near same color as soft maple.

Double dogs get in the way of things.

Client can remove them for milling.

Chinese Elm would be my guess, as it's not native to the US, but there are a lot of them planted in Urban areas for small to moderate yard trees. They are an ornamental tree, and I've never seen one over 12-14" DBH.

How big was that stick? And where did you get it?

14-16 ish. Paper bark birch jumped into my head I first saw it but I thought that was a hardwood.

A few chunks of it in the unofficial wood dump on Easton Saxton road. I saved a couple small squares I made.

Cookies are so wasteful. [emoji56]

Dodge van behind me noodling, both front windows open. Chips flew in pass window and out drivers side. Most made a mess on the seats. Good thing it was my ‘fishing car’.
