Sam went to bed last night. He got up to get something to drink fortunately; the water line to the ice maker busted or was leaking. It didn't look like it had been leaking long because it was coming out pretty good and only got the kitchen tile floor :) and dining room laminate floor :( Water was coming up between the cracks when you stepped on it. If he hadn't gotten up the whole house could have flooded. I can't wait to deal with the insurance company.

Lucky you caught it as quickly as you did. Weird how stuff like that never happens when you're awake, or even home. Damn Gremlins!

Yeah, that's a fun way to wake up. I remember something like that happening to a washer when I was house sitting once. Hose off the pump came loose. Dumped water on the floor and down the vent into the furnace. No Bueno.

Hope it's an easy conversation with the insurance people.

Lucky it was! My dad had a slow leaker that resulted in this mess

my oldest daughter helped me redo the whole dining and kitchen area......three layers down, tear out all the cabinets and put in Bella hardwood for him....much nicer now though!

I take it you got him running?

Yep. Pulled the carb off and checked the metering lever. Shot some WD40 through the fuel inlet and noticed the needle was a little tight. Lever looked level with the body but I went ahead and raised it about 1 1/2 hairs (you know what kind). :)
Dribbled some mix down the throat and it took right off. Finished the fine adjustments and made a couple of test cuts. Not a bad little saw. Not bad at all. And runs really well.
Ill let it cool down a while and then give it the acid test.
