I’m irrigating again...

Out of the question for us River City dwellers.

We have to pay for an epic storm water separation project. So for a water bill of like $40 we pay a sewer tax of $80.

The only ones operating a sprinkler system it seems are the banks around town. [emoji848]

Banking must be good.

Howdy gents.
I worked some Friday, but aggravated my sternum starting the 064 to put it into service. Also finally put fuel in a NOS 440 I’d had for about ten years. The 044 needs a bit of attention, one heck of a saw, so well worth a tuneup, and a good reason to fire up a new saw.

All I gotta do is buy more water.

I’ve thought about drilling a big assed well.

If we don't get some rain I will be drilling a new well regardless. Old one is a driven well with a small casing. Windmill legs used to stick up above ground by the well house until I got tired of mowing around them. Already checked and the casing is too small for them to re-drill. May call today and check pricing.

Unbelievable? Yes.

Tempted. You can't get a 42 in. bar for that kind of money. I know it's got to be crap for quality, but at that price you could just part it out and still be good. Couple of pretty "sporty" pics if you scroll through them all. I wonder if she's included with the purchase price??? I'd better pass on it, just in case. Besides, I've got a pretty low tolerance level for cheap equipment.

I believe around 180'. I need to find my receipt for when I had the pump replaced a few years back. Called Bill Rose and was quoted $8500 for 500 foot deep, 80 cased, 1.5hp pump and lines to the house assuming I am not in the DNR impact zone. If I am it could be as much as $20,000 just for the drilling and the casing. According to the DNR map I am outside the zone thankfully. They said that they would drill until they got 30 gmp flow.

Wow! 10 years ago we helped a neighbor hand dig a well 45' here on river bottom. It was for his garden only.
