Getting excited for our flight! Thank you to all our veterans for the sacrifices they have made for us!

And thank you for volunteering to be a guardian. My Dad went on his Honor Flight last week. Central Missouri flight #51. I took the Goldwing up and escorted the busses back to Columbia. We had 420 motorcycles in the escort. He was grinning from ear to ear when he got off the bus.

I believe it's on the output side. That's where mine was.

Ug. No key in the flywheel. Built into the flywheel, so new flywheel if that’s what it is.
I’ll pull it apart and check, maybe I. An machine in a groove and get a little generic key at Ace. What a pain.

That's what happened to mine. Don't worry about the key clean and loctite it and tighten the nut.

What Kyle said.
The key is only there to make assembly easier at the factory. Apply loctite, center up the groove and zip it down with an impact driver. Its the taper that holds it in position, not the key.

Yeah, but, mark the end of the crank and the flywheel with a scribe to see if they line up.

They kept moving one to the other on the 335. . Took three tries.
If I'm remembering correctly that's what I didn't as well.

It looks like the PP flywheel is under the starter. Mine is one of the earliest variants, many parts discontinued. The thing is on its original chain, sharpened once. I didn't get much help fromt eh place I bought it, and KVI has moved to a different town. Need to spend a bit of time tearing it down, I suppose. I imagine the carb kit has been superseded a time or three, but this beats spending 6 bills for a new one.

You'll still be able to get the carb kit for it.
Take the carb with you to the parts store.

Should I put loctite red on the taper itself, or just the threads?
