Best to use both Teflon tape and a Teflon paste. The tape helps great during taking things apart. I use the blue monster tape and use megaloc paste which can all be purchased at menards. I do plumbing for a living and rarely have any issues when using both of these and I rarely use pipe wrenches.

Every time I drive in KC, I thank god I live in River City!

Anybody have a throttle link for this? Trigger to carb.

What do use to tighten your sch.40 steel fittings?

Residential plumbing doesn’t deal with much schedule 40 steel. Mainly brass up to 1”. When I was doing commercial plumbing I still would only use pipe wrenches when needed. Using the right materials from the start doesn’t require extreme tightening imho
