Well, we fished. And fished some more.
Best part was we had a blast. Didn't catch anything but had fun. More important was got the girls exposed to something different. Made some memories.

These trout must all be female, cause they weren't interested. They'd follow the lure a couple of feet, then dart off.
Too bad you can't fish with a 9mm.

Zeke's Sierra Gold floating corn bait on the tiniest treble hook that you can get with a split shot about 18" above the hook used to work when the trout got lock jaw.

Bought basic rods and reels. Got the girls a couple of Zebcos that they did real good with. Got me a little open faced reel. The line on this thing is fine as a spider web. Kept getting frazzled up. Normal? Or cheap line? Only gave $25 for it. I'm leaning toward cheap line, or just being stupid.

Anyone need a trimmer head for a WeedEater brand with a 3/8" shaft? The Featherlites have 1/4" shafts. I got this on clearance at some point but no longer remember why. I know this ain't the "for sale" area but I wanted to let you guys have first shot at it. $10 should cover shipping and packing to anywhere in the lower 48, that's all I'm asking. Brand new, in the package and loaded with string.

880 crankcase ready to reassemble. Appropriate the oven and freezer we will.
The torn AV mounts are glued back together with 3M weatherstrip glue. Let them cure a couple days and check for strength.

No idea where we can find a big enuff log to test him.

I do believe the good lord himself Han his right hand on the matter of children fishing! We spend 1000.00+ on tackle, boats, gear and we catch nothing, you give a child a Barbie, Minnie, Mickey pole and a hook and worm and its fish on!
