Guten Morgen, Menschen!

My stepfather just sent me another in a series of stories he is writing for Emerson, of adventures had on "Old 1073," the prairie locomotive that sits in a park downtown. Midnights with a full moon, it takes him to see Old Kansas for some adventures. These are great, and last night's was Emdee and the Soddy Folk, a family of German homesteaders living in a sod house. Good stuff.

Good stuff for sure.

Well got my new 359 back together and finally got her running good. My first attempted port job. Chased down some air leaks on Trans covers and this morning worked on it not wanting to idle. Ended up being throttle return spring weak.

That's cool stuff. He'll treasure those. My grandparents on my dads side are from the Hays/Wakeeney area.

I inherited another 350 husky the other day with a roasted P&C. The bearings feel good though. I'm not sure if there was an air leak, or it was straight-gassed, but by the time it got to me the carb, P&C had been removed. Thinking about buying a 346NE P&C and 357xp carb for it and giving it a go. Might be able to flip it that way!

Fried Yard Bird is always good, though I tend to be much more of a leg, thigh and wing fan.

I think I'm going to try to get some chickens this year. Layers and any chick that grow spurs can be meat birds. There's a space between two houses (the neighbor will be in on it) that will be a natural enclosure.

On my third try with this holster.
First was 1/2 inch too small.
Second one I got the mounting clips positioned too high, which allowed the gun to ride low.
Hopefully 3rd times a charm. This ones getting expensive.
