Guten Morgen, Menschen!
My stepfather just sent me another in a series of stories he is writing for Emerson, of adventures had on "Old 1073," the prairie locomotive that sits in a park downtown. Midnights with a full moon, it takes him to see Old Kansas for some adventures. These are great, and last night's was Emdee and the Soddy Folk, a family of German homesteaders living in a sod house. Good stuff.
Didn't know there was a list, there's probably other list that I am on, so I might as well be on this one... Sounds like a good time, is there a thread from previous years?

Fried Yard Bird is always good, though I tend to be much more of a leg, thigh and wing fan. Some southern Fried chicken from Foreman Arkansas. Yum!

I think I'm going to try to get some chickens this year. Layers and any chick that grow spurs can be meat birds. There's a space between two houses (the neighbor will be in on it) that will be a natural enclosure.Fried Yard Bird is always good, though I tend to be much more of a leg, thigh and wing fan.
