Good morning, gentlemen!

Hope your Christmas preparations are proceeding apace. I have been dry aging a rib roast in the fridge for a few weeks, but it was drying out, so I wrapped it up to equalize the moisture and then refroze it. Put it back in the fridge last night. It's about ten lbs, so it will take a few days to defrost in the fridge. I plan to reverse sear it, using a 200˚ oven to bring it up to medium rare, then heat the oven to 550, and put it back in for 15 minutes. Worked well last year, hoping for a repeat.

I am very grateful that Nancy handles the gift buying, tree, ornaments, and all that. I'll stick with the main dish. Looking forward to hanging out with my stepson. He's a good egg, even though his father is a dumbas$.

Might try this supplier next time that you're in need.

That's the needle seat. You need to pick the old seat out of the end of the brass needle seat housing and insert the new one with the smooth side to the needle.

How id you wrangle those large pieces without ruining your back? Nice score.

Thanks. I stood them up and "walked" them to the trailer then laid em down....except for that big stump in the foreground. Turns out, the landowner employs a helper. He came over with a big John Deere with a bucket and bale hooks. Once home, I just rolled it off. A peavey is a great tool! You're point is a good one. Just standing them up was stupid and I could have crippled myself.

They clean the ink trays off and after a while it gets some pretty colors.

What would an old yellowed Stihl tank/handle look like after a dip in that stuff.

I envision a ‘tie dyed’ chainsaw.

We need a guinea pig.

Some uv ink could do the trick. At least that way it would dry up.

It would not be tie dyed looking.
The blue always seems most prominent in our parts washer.
If not brownish.
