Well the reason you dont hear of this happening to a stihl is bc they are kinda like a ford Ltd big heavy and slow and don't make enough power to hurt themselves. Lol!

Yep. Dad cut up 13 big oaks b4 it got an attitude and kicked back. Broke the housing at the mounting screws.

Good reason for spares.

I guess if I'm gonna keep awol saws around might be a good idea to keep some parts on hand. They r hard on the starters for sure but man do they run!

Back on topic. I scored a big heaping truck bed full of dead standing oak today. Minimal labor required on my part thanks to the shop owner, his grapple, and skid steer splitter. Only thing I had to do was cut to length and toss on the truck.

I'd do that all day, every day, if I could.
