Rangy Duncan does have a large inventory of Homelite parts as well as McCulloch stuff .I've gotten several parts from them over the years .As far as Homelite stuff I bought the large segment from a 7/8" clutch for the avatar saw which has 6 segments evidently made from some kind of hard brass alloy .I could have made one but it would have taken me a month of Sundays to do it .

Got a few more parts in the last few weeks to add to my inventory. Without these included, I've got over 1600 NOS Homelite chainsaw part numbers. I sell very little as I'm still collecting saws and draw parts frequently for repairs.

What is good compression for homelite saw? Working on a super mini vI that i thought would pop with little fuel down the carb but nothing. It has 120psi. I always went by 130 was low but i inow some of these older saws are little lower then normal.
I also dont have the proper spark plug and was only able to get it half as s tight which would have been even less but i figued i would at least get a pop of some sort.
It has lots of spark.

In my experience, 120 psi is what alot of cheaper machines have when new so that should be enough to run. I would get the right plug before you did anything else, you might be leaking just enough not to start.

The manual says comp should be 155 - 185 psi.

Check the decomp valve to make sure there's no carbon holding it open.
I would think you should get a pop out of it at 120.

I'm not sure there is a decomp but the US equivalent model does have one.

If it does, it will be on the exhaust side of the cylinder and will be actuated with the throttle lock.

So back at the little mini. I got the proper plug and pull cord fixed. Put a carb kit in it and git it running. It accually runs pretty good. But now i got a broken clutch. I found a couple used on ebay but the shipping is same price as the clutch. Will maybe check at the saw shop to see if he has any in his used parts area.
Any one know what other modle saws will have the same clutch?

This saw does have the decomp

Same as some mini's some EZ's and Xl-1 saws.

Your clutch drum looks thin as well but that may just be the pic.

I'll send you a PM regarding an Ontario contact on FB.

I'm hunting a VI944 muffler and a used(good shape) or NOS XL925 P/C . Open to trades also, not limited to Homelite stuff.

Cool Ed, I love that Homelite didn't mind using the #13 in their series.

I finally got the XL-113 yesterday after waiting for 2 weeks to get it.It's got great compression & I don't think the saw was used much at all.It didn't have spark when I got it,a new plug took care of that.Today I put a new fuel line & filter in it & pulled the carb.I thought it was going to need a rebuild, but the only problem was the metering diaphragm was stuck to the cover.I put the carb back together without rebuilding it & it started on the 5th pull.It runs beautiful, sounds like a Mac with no baffle in the muffler, but we can't have that,so I'll put a baffle in it tomorrow,Lol.The rim on the clutch drum is all chewed up,so new rim tomorrow too. It's also missing the button for the manual oiler,I believe I have one here. The only other thing I'd like to get for it to dress it up is a spike.

I have a old 410 homie. I think I have all the parts to put it back together if I can find them. Is it worth it? Think it's 68cc, probably slow and heavy.
