You guys just keep selling those silly carb saws and I will keep buying them, I like vintage saws, if anything I want older models, I am just a purist I guess. To each there own.
Damn near all of my saws are "0" series Stihls, I know what you are sayin. But as years go by parts will become NLA. There won't be anything left but mtronic and probly efi

I'm going to see/get a real nice looking MS361 this morning. Probably a great candidate for a trip to the Dr. if you are interested...

I'm pretty sure I will always have some O Series and MS Series saws, but adding a M-Tronic 661, 462 or 261 would sure be nice!

Stihl should do what they did with the typeII MS261/362 & offer them in BOTH standard carb & Mtronic IMO. That would give the 'horse & wagon' guys an option they were happy with yet still have a modern epa compliment saw with all the mod-cons. I ain't personally scared of MT or AT systems but I think the new laid back cylinder design with extra strato ports facing up towards the carb changes the heat relationship between crankcase/cylinder to carb compared to older traditional designs where the carb was roughly 90° to the cylinder. Many of these heat soak hot start issues have little clues about them. Strato is not completely to blaim as many run fine without issues at all.....but its part of it combined with the new positioning of the carb with the laid back cylinder Husky started with the 550/562 later adopted by Stihl with the newer models. I think some of these fairly basic but not insucnificant problems get confused with MT/AT/Computer-saw reliability giving this tech a bad rep. This is just my thought out guess at what's going on here....my 2c so to speak.
