I'll definitely have to paint the pan if this is the one I use.
Adapter mounts are in the middle position, have to get someone to help me take the hood off this weekend...

Gimme an airline ticket and a couch to crash on and I'll be right over!

I decided that even though the truck is kinda whooped I was not going to keep a 1 gallon gas can on the fender and stick a wire in the positive terminal indefinitely. For ~$40 I got a new drain plug, oil filter, oe-style fuel pump, rad cap, and a t-case output seal and installed them yesterday. I think the p.o. had a surplus of hose clamps and tried to use them up on the truck. I had 6 extras by the time I had replumbed the fuel pump eliminating the electric one, and I left the ones pictured alone since I don't feel like revamping the power steering system. There is far less room in the engine bay of a 79 than there is in a 69, that's for sure.

I never knew there was one!

Me neither. My grandpa did tell me one time on a couple of the old flathead engine rebuilds he did, he would pack the oil pump with a little bit of grease, which helped get oil pressure up on initial start-up.

Had to go with Wilwoods “shorty” MC kit to clear the spring/shock towers. Grabbed (2) 25 foot rolls of that copper-nickel brake tubing before I even started, still hurting from shoveling 4 yards of wet topsoil, I’ll take all of the “easy” I can getIMG_2708.jpegIMG_2709.jpegIMG_2711.jpeg
