They seem to be OK? Any leaks or wear on the hinged hose? How is overall quality of the jug vs. the No Spill?

Wix Golds are what I use. Silicone valves. Also have a Platinum that is used with synthetic. Purolator are good as well. Used those. Problem is the store that has them is mainly a grocery, so they don't always have the filter you need.

Anything but the real cheap stuff and Fram is what I use.
i get wix filters for 2.99 at my work

After having seen some filters cut apart......I wont even use a Fram, even if they were free. Wix gets the nod here.
Not sure why engineers think they need to complicate a gas can. Give it a good lid, make it pour well without dripping back on itself and a vent, if needed. Not that difficult! I have several of the older ones with yellow spouts and they work perfectly.

One can buy a spout for almost any can made. TSC stocks them. I bought 3, 5 gallon diesel cans and they had the crappy push in spouts. I bought the replacement spouts for all 3 cans and they work great. I even put a vent in each of them. They empty pretty quick.
The diesel spout even comes with the wider opening for diesel. [emoji106]

New gas cans suck!!! Like,
"do they still make you?" :risas3:

Mine looked like Dan's plastic implosion on page one, yesterday. I have to tighten then up during a three day downpour. This sucks somebody smashed my favorite one with a tree last year. Had it 25-26 years... mfer. Good guy to and he felt like an ass. He gave me this new pos. Time to buy a used one just like the sister from storage in it's place. I needs two cans now and prefer the old 2.5 us gals with a vent cap!

The ones like czar800 has on his yellow spout cans I need to fix. I have two more cans in five gallons that need those vent caps. You can still buy the yellow spout but not the replacement screw on or pop off caps.

The 2.5 gallon is a short fat one. The rectangle shaped new thing falls over anyway and it sucks!

I'll get a pic of my last 2.5 shortie on the truck and post it from my cell phone. They do sell the spout kits that tuck in but not the screw vent cap or the plastic can. Two companies used to sell them made by two different manufacturers that I know of. I retrofitted them with open cell tape seals in the vent caps. Cures all the bs problems associated with seasonal temp swings, moisture, a black bed liner in the sun and piece of mind it won't suddenly burst or implode.

Use a small tire valve stem with insides removed. They work well.

Notice the names. The last one is my second 2.5 with avation fuel stored in it. I can find the cans at yard sales and garage clean outs I'm sure. I like this can.20201114_095015.jpg 20201114_095036.jpg 20201114_095050.jpg 20201114_095057.jpg 20201114_095609.jpg Need the hardware that goes on them.

Kenny. Go to your nearest Tractor Supply Store and buy the EZ Pour replacement spouts. Have everything you need in the package. Comes with the little yellow vent caps too

Those pullout spouts work best for my travels in the pick up truck. The yellow rigid spouts are great to switch over to if your going to be using that fuel can all day long at at home, a gtg, ect.
These cans suck and that five gallon job just like them, no vent or burst valve.
