Second battery depleted.
The bigger the branches the faster the battery drains.
Still good, cut down and up most of two big apple branches, or two wheelbarrows full of firewood.
I am truly glad I picked up this Makita UC250D, she is really handy for small to medium jobs.

The big stuff is the fun stuff!Picking away at it. 2nd day, another full trailer load. Really thinking hard about whether I wanna even mess with the big stuff
I also have a DUC353, 2x18Volt powered, she can't hold a candle to the UC250D!I picked up the 18-volt a couple of years ago. Neighbor was the first to use it and I'm lucky he let me have it back. Handy and lite little saw.
You’re right! I do plan to get it just need to prepare that’s all!The big stuff is the fun stuff!
How is there even a doubt whether to get it or not?

The BIG stuff makes a lot of wood, but it is a PITA to process. I still can't pass it up, not yet anyway. You’re right! I do plan to get it just need to prepare that’s all!
Are you cutting live trees or dead trees? Either way, you are lucky to be able to do it. What stove are you burning with?I currently have about 60 full cords c/c/s on hand. I've sold ~14 cord over the past year though and sold another 5 cord to another local guy back a few years ago to help him get ahead. I'm currently burning stuff that was c/s/s in spring '15 (still from the same winter's haul that I sold the 5 cords out of). I will be done with that 2015 stuff in a few weeks. I then will be moving on to the Spring 2016 stuff.
I currently have this pile that I need to split yet. This year I've had off of work starting 12/20 through 1/2. I went out into the woods myself a handful of hours a day on 12/21 through 12/24 and gathered maybe about half of what you see in the photo below. Then my 17 year old nephew came down on the 29th around noon. We ate some lunch and headed out till dark. Then we worked sun-up to sun-down on the 30th and did the same on the 31st. He may be coming down again next weekend and we will cut a bit more, so the pile will be getting larger.

Here's a photo I took on 12/28 through the patio doors -BEFORE- my nephew came to help , it shows the pile from the other side and the size of it prior to him helping and what I accumulated by myself. What is shown stacked is what I partially have. There is quite a bit more stacked off camera to the left (you can just see the beginning of the stacks at the extreme left side of the photo below).

All standing dead or storm damaged. Every once in awhile I'll take a live one if it's in the way of a dead one or if it's a heavy leaner fighting to get to the sunlight. Are you cutting live trees or dead trees? Either way, you are lucky to be able to do it. What stove are you burning with?
Makita UC250D, 36Volt, 10" B&C

Keep in mind: that is a picture with a charged battery, the saw gets nose heavy as the battery depletes!Started out getting their 36 volt (18x2) weed hacker and then the 36v (18x2) blower. They both had a special where you get a total of 4 batteries each. I felt it was a cheap way to get into their system and the saw was a tool only.
Yours does look like an awesome, well balanced, saw. Haven't tried that with my 18 volt.
Split some fence line hard maple. Lots of burls and knots in these big ones so I cheated and used the saws to keep the wood saleable. I hate selling crappy twisted looking pieces
I got a little this morning. I'm back on the property that I cut on. There are 100's of dead standing oaks in the middle of this 80 acre section. I had my son with me and he blocked up the trunks and I took care of the limbing. He used my Stump Shot 572XP and I got a chance to try out my new scarr 4350. Everything was blocked up to 26" for a owb.
The snow was very slippery. I'm on top of a hill and need a four wheeler to get up there. The ground wasn't soft, the four wheeler tires didn't tear the ground up.How was it out there? I was at my parents this morning and the ground was super slick and soft. I figured the tractor would just tear everything up so I opted to just split the wood I cut last weekend vs cutting more.
