Couple hot Husky’s in a target rich environment. Doesn’t get any better.I apologize for multiple posts, I can only load a few pics at a time. My son also blocked up some big rounds with my scarr 592xp with a 36" bar.
Just found a reason for an electric chainsaw. I am sure those policies were meant to be useful, they just sound stupid. Merry Christmas Eve WilhelmThe forests are full with damages from this summers multiple storms.
All of it is untouchable/illegal to process without purchasing a licence which is then only valid for a specific area so You can't simply roam the woods and take the good & pretty stuff.
These are just 2 spots in the forest that are right next to a good access road where I take walks with my pup.
First picture shows a whole hill side with uprooted healthy oaks, the other two are huge (as in formerly "tall") uprooted healthy beech trees right next to each other.
Walking my pup that route and seeing all those trees on the ground, snapped, and hung up my mind keeps screaming (the song):
"Can't touch this!"

Wood is very plentiful in this area of the state. There are a lot of people who own land that could care less about firewood. Some people are from out of town that own property just for the hunting. The problem is getting access to their land. Every one is so sue happy these days they worry you getting hurt on their property. I was pmed by a member here that asked me to take him out cutting wood. I asked the landowner that I cut for and he asked me if the guy knew what he was doing. I said I honestly don't know. He said no because he was worried the guy would get hurt on his property and sue him.Score of a lifetime.
I have let a couple people hunt my property, but they aren't allowed to bring anyone with them for that very reason. I have to know and trust someone before I let them. Really is sad, but it is what we must do.Wood is very plentiful in this area of the state. There are a lot of people who own land that could care less about firewood. https://firewoodhoardersclub.com/documents/Liability_Agreement.pdfI worked in a bush last summer and the landowner made me sign a form he had done up basically saying I won’t sue if I get hurt working, I thought that was fair.
I wondered if that was a pretty good idea to get some made up
I've never been asked to sign a waiver, I can see that it would make a property owner feel more secure. Today is a payed holiday day for us. The brothers went out to drag trees out with the tractor. My son and I blocked up some trees. He used my Stump Shot 550xpg and Stump Shot 572XP. I used my XS 550xpg and scarr 572XP. We cut a lot more than what in the pics but it started raining and we got out of there.I worked in a bush last summer and the landowner made me sign a form he had done up basically saying I won’t sue if I get hurt working, I thought that was fair.

I have a few very choice words about elm. None are good. Dad had a few random rounds of it in his pile. View attachment 401264View attachment 401265View attachment 401266
This is the 3rd-4th time I’ve had it. Every time it’s the same. Does not make one bit of difference when deep frozen either. That theory is a complete myth.
